) is urgently seeking to recruit professionals for its customer – a leading engineering company.
About the job:
The EHS Advisor supports Site Management in all issues and actions to be taken with respect to safety, occupational health & safety and environmental protection.
The EHS Advisor performs on a Power Plant site abroad.
Responsibilities:
▫
Preparing and introducing concepts, rules & regulations governing occupational health & safety, fire protection and environmental protection, in particular for joint review of Method Statements
▫
Advising and training site personnel in matters related to occupational health & safety, environmental protection and accident prevention in accordance with the pertinent accident prevention regulations
▫
Planning and monitoring of accident alert and rescue services, including first-aid service
▫
Coordinating and monitoring of fire prevention and protection concepts during plant construction
▫
Conducting safety meetings as well as plant safety walk downs;
▫
Identifying and investigating main concentrations of hazards and preparing proposals for corrective action; preparing, maintaining and updating a safety and crisis management plan; preparing proposals for improving basic safety policies and safety culture (e.g. an incentive plan, etc.)
▫
Introducing and monitoring compliance with the permit-to-work procedure, from the start of on-site activity up to handover to Commissioning
▫
Participation in or performance of occupational health & safety and environmental protection audits.
Qualification:
▫
Postgraduate studies - Health and Safety Officer
▫
Master of Science / Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Maritime, Ocean technology or similar.
▫
Experience min. 2 years on a big industrial building site or plant
▫
Fluent English in writing and speaking
▫
Team player
▫
Conscientiousness and liability
▫
Declared intention to work abroad for long period
