PDS Designer (ref. PDAKS/07325)
Location:
PRS Centre (license no.: 4590/1b) is seeking to recruit professionals
for its customer –
a leading gas&oil company.
About the role:
Regular activities of a successful candidate will
include:
Use of Intergraph Pipe
Support Modeller (Pelican Forge) to design, and draft pipe supports in
accordance with engineering codes of practice and company procedures.
Generation and, simple,
configuration of Fabrication drawings of Tagged supports.
Able to generate
pre-defined reports and manipulate into an MS Office based format, for example,
MS Excel or MS Access.
Review of piping design and
liaison with other disciplines in completing the work.
Coordination with piping designers
About you:
4+ years 3-D modelling
experience with SupportModeller (Pelican Forge) software for modelling supports
for piping, cable trays and HVAC ducts.
Able use of Microstation –
Accudraw etc
Ability to administer pipe
support calculation and design
Use of standard software
programs (Word, Excel, Acrobat) for documentation
Good general piping design knowledge
Good general mechanical
design knowledge
Good standard of verbal and
written communication in English
Problem solving ability
Ability to monitor and
report on work progress
Ability to maintain
documentation and filing in good order
Ability to work to, and
suggest improvements for, procedures and job notes.
